NLE Choppa

NLE Choppa needs almost no introduction. The 19-year-old rapper from Tennessee has shown us that nothing is impossible. In the blink of an eye, NLE Choppa went from a Memphis high school student to a viral sensation.

The rapper was born as Bryson Potts on November 1, 2002, in Memphis, Tennessee. As a teen at Cordova High School, he began freestyling and rapping with friends for fun when he was 14, and officially launched his rap career at the age of 15 in 2018.

Thanks to singles like “Camelot” and his first major hit, “Shotta Flow,” NLE Choppa has become one of the biggest breakout rappers of 2019. His music videos are racking up hundreds of millions of views on YouTube alone, and he’s just getting started. As he continues to rise, here are 12 fast facts you need to know about NLE Choppa.

Maggie Lindemann

Maggie Lindemann is someone who feels representative of why the next generation of musicians are so damn exciting. She's a musical chameleon, someone who is the by-product of a genre-less upbringing including hip-hop, alt-rock, punk and beyond - all of which have a presence felt within her work. She's also someone that's able to present that through an all-encompassing creative universe that excels beyond just releasing music; her vision and direction showing through music - of course - but also in the worlds of fashion, acting, podcasting and curation.

Nick DeMoura

Nick DeMoura born and raised Fall River, Massachusetts fell in love with dance.

Nick was the Creative Director and Choreographer for Justin Bieber's BELIEVE World Tour, and is also known for his work on Step Up 3D, Prom Night, and Dance Flick. He and won Best Choreography in a Music Video for Justin Bieber's Beauty and The Beat at The Industry Voice Awards, and recently won Dancer of The Year at World Of Dance Indusrty Awards.

Cailin Russo

Modeling was something Cailin Russo admittedly stumbled into “accidentally.” Her roots however are grounded in music and it’s what she returned – in tow with her band RUSSO. Her dad Scott Russo is Unwritten Law’s lead singer and it’s a title Cailin inherited.

RUSSO comprises singer-songwriter Cailin Russo on lead vocals, Tyler McCarthy on guitar, Hayley Brownell on drums and backing vocals and Sean Ritchie on bass. The band’s sounds are what Cailin Russo calls “honest and high,” collectively hailing retro-rock, ska-pop and sass in their new EP, House With A Pool.

Tatiana Hazel

Tatiana Hazel has been strengthening her DIY abilities for a long time now: She’s a Chicago-born, Mexican-American singer, writer, producer, and fashion designer who has been quietly releasing her own music and videos since she was 13. Her latest EP, And the World Will Turn, was an opportunity for her to lean even more into her homespun skills. It came together during the pandemic — Tatiana had just moved to Los Angeles and was alone as the city shut down, so she spent her time perfecting the five songs that appear on the project, handling every piece, from writing to recording to mixing to video creation.
